Meet Lane

Utilizing her rich life experience, Lane Blessing incorporates all that she is into her coaching practice.  As an honors graduate in education and a former teacher, she draws on her teaching skills in her speaking, writing, and in her presentation of life coaching topics to her clients, whether one on one or in a workshop setting.  A stay-at-home mom for many years, Lane knows what it’s like for women experiencing the joys and heartaches of motherhood, the “empty nest”, marriage of children, grandparenting, having your child and her family far away on the mission field, and re-purposing for the second half of life.  Single again, she understands both the pain and the tremendous growth opportunities.

A Christian for over 45 years, she has served and ministered in many teaching and leadership capacities with women, youth, young adults, and her Singles Sunday school class. Drawing from the knowledge gained from attending a Bible ministry school as well as her own intensive personal study, she is well versed in topics pertaining to spiritual growth and the stages of faith encountered over a lifetime. She is also a spiritual director, having completed the three year HeartPaths training program. She has found that this training only serves to complement her life coaching.

In her own quest for a balanced and holistic life, Lane works out with a personal trainer and is actively involved in her own health and wellness.   As a constant learner and reader, Lane continually seeks to enhance her knowledge of awareness and mindfulness, brain research, holistic health and wellness, emotional and multiple intelligences, various personality typing systems such as the Myers Briggs and Enneagram, life stages, and communication enhancement.  Trained in 2005 as a Myers Briggs certified practitioner, she has administered the MBTI to scores of people, both individually and in small group workshops.  As a graduate of the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC), she is a Certified Professional Coach (CPC), and holds membership with the Christian Coaches Network (CCN).

With her clients, Lane demonstrates her empathic and active listening skills as well as her resilient and positive attitude.  She lives what she claims she values.   Generous in spirit and reflective by nature, she thoughtfully arouses truthful inquiry in a compassionate and non-judgmental atmosphere.

When she isn’t coaching, Lane enjoys special moments with her family, especially her grandchildren, thoughtful conversations with friends, reading, her book club, learning new things, traveling, decorating, gardening, appreciating the arts, and walking in the park. She shares her home with three cats, a turtle, and numerous fish, enjoying the sacred beauty and peace of her backyard garden.
